Want to Write but Don’t Know Where to Start?

So far, I hope you have learned quite a bit from my blog and I hope to offer a lot more so that you can keep learning and growing as a writer. But, you should know my ability to help you write your novel doesn’t stop there.

Writing Coach Services

I can help you get from dream to reality.

As a writing coach, I can guide you through actionable steps that take you from idea to novel. Writing a book is hard. Ideas come and go, motivation slips out the window, and before you know it you’ve fallen into a four-hour twitter black hole. You know you want this, want your career as a writer to become reality, but you know you can’t do it alone.

That’s where I come in!

Through an initial Action Plan, we can determine the length of your project, the goals we can set for short and long term to get you there, and decide if you will need one-on-one coaching through the process. As a writer myself, I understand the battle writing can be. I know how evil the inner editor can be or how daunting a blank page can be. I am here to take my experiences and use them to help you through these rough spots.

No matter where you are in the process, I’m here to help make your story a reality.

My specializations include fantasy, urban fantasy, contemporary fantasy, mystery, sci-fi, and paranormal romance or other genre-bending blends. I can work within both the Adult genre and the Young Adult genre. If you’d like to approach New Adult, we can discuss what that means for your story and your publishing goals.

THE PACKAGES

 THE ASPIRING WRITER

The only person who aspires to write is one who hasn’t started yet. Once you start forming complex characters and weaving prose, you become a writer (no matter what stage you’re in). This package is designed to help you from concept to completion. Together we assess your idea and the steps needed to flesh it into a well rounded story, including character creation, world building, and plot. Using an Action Plan, we decide what to work on, how long we will work together, and set Check-In dates to make sure you’re on track. This includes:

  • Action Plan
  • Guided Plot Development with Tips and Tricks
  • Character Arc Guidance
  • Structure Consultation
  • Monthly Goal Check-Ins with Optional Alpha Reading
  • Publishing Options Consultation

PRICE: $50 for initial Action Plan Consultation, Check-Ins are $50 an hour or $70 for two hours (billed monthly)

Alpha Reading is an additional cost per word.

THE PREP BOOTCAMP PACKAGE

Sometimes you just need a little help out the gate. This month long package is designed to get you motivated to write your story. Together, we take your idea and turn it into a fleshed out story so that when you’re ready to write, you have everything you need. Each week we focus on a different part of your writing, based on what you feel needs the most help. This includes:

  • Plot Development and Card Creation
  • Character Profiles
  • World Building Guidance
  • Motivation and Time Management

PRICE: Month Long Package $300

THE FOCUSED DEVELOPMENT PACKAGE

Sometimes, you’re confident in one thing, but aren’t sure about another. With the Focused Development plan, we can choose one or two aspects of writing and focus on learning to use them with deft precision. This could be any area you feel particularly weak in, such as plot development, maintaining tension, or voice. Together, we will assess these issues and work on a number of exercises in that area. You can use the exercises as they are or choose to incorporate them into your current project. This includes:

  • Action Plan
  • Assessment
  • Exercises
  • Check-Ins

PRICE: 50$ for initial Action Plan Consultation, 35$ per exercise
